Xl American Bully History and Information

The American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) recognized the American Bully XL in 2004. The US United Kennel Club (UKC) recognized the American Bully in 2013.

Information

Is the American Bully a companion breed?

They are known for being affectionate, intelligent, and adaptable, and are generally not aggressive. They are also known for being protective of their family, patient, and tolerant, making them good companions for families with children.

Designer Breed

Yes, the American Bully is considered a designer dog breed. The American Bully was developed in the 1980s and 1990s by selectively breeding American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers, and is influenced by other breeds such as the American Bulldog, English Bulldog, and Olde English Bulldogge. The goal was to create a muscular dog that was easier to handle in urban areas, family-friendly, and less aggressive than classic American bull breeds

American Bully Coats and Patterns.

There are a variety of American Bully colors: Black, White, Grey, Brown, Blue, Tan, Fawn, Red, Pie Bald and Brindle. These dogs are usually a mixture of two colors, or the American Bully may also be tri-colored and can even be Merle or Tri – Merle

ABKC and UKC STANDARDS

This is an amendment to the basic standard which a XL Bully is determined by its adult height. Males over 20 inches (51 cm)  – 23 inches (57 cm) at the withers. Females over 19 inches (48 cm) – 22 inches (54 cm) at the withers.

Important to note that the XL Bully variety is simply taller than the Standard American Bully. XL Bully dogs share the same build, body type, and breed type as the Standard American Bully, and are expected to carry a heavily muscled, massive, bulky body type.

Trust The Process
